As you might have noticed before, Resource Travel editor-in-chief Michael Bonocore has nothing but love for Morocco – as shown in these 50 photos. The North African kingdom is unique in almost every way possible, and freelance film director and editor Nathaniel Connella, one of the two Tipsy Gypsies, now knows it too, having spent this past summer in this slice of earthly paradise.
Being a filmmaker, he of course made a film while exploring this beautiful country. “MOROCCO” takes its viewer on a journey “beyond the obvious and into the heart and soul” of Morocco, from the souks and craftsmen of Marrakesh and Fes to the dunes of Merzouga and continuing on high into the Atlas mountains.
After Connella completed turning a month’s worth of shooting into this 4.5 minute praise, he addressed his Facebook-friends:
I’ve just completed my first travel short that I actually feel a little proud of and I must confess something. I have this (most likely delusional) dream of catching the eye of Vimeo with this film, and making their coveted “Staff Picks”. But in order to do this I need help. A lot of help. If you have a few minutes, I’d be honored if you would check out my latest film “Morocco” and if it pleases you, “like” the film on Vimeo, comment on the film on Vimeo (not just here at Facebook) and if you REALLY like it, even consider sharing it with your friends!
Usually, that would be a call Resource Travel gladly supports. But it’s no longer necessary: Connella’s wish came true in a matter of days. Congrats, man! You deserve it!
You can watch some more of Nathaniel Connella’s work on Vimeo, but make sure you also check out The Tipsy Gypsies – and this blog post specifically. The gypsies are of course also on Facebook and Instagram.
