When I think of Poland, I instantly imagine a landlocked country trapped in the confines of a wintery environment. But after watching this video from the talented people behind Szpilki Na Mapie, I now see that Poland is nothing like my preconceived perceptions. Their creation entitled “Fall in Love with Poland” peppers the viewers an abundance of visual evidence as to why Poland is truly worthy of a visit. By flying a DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone to scenic locations such as the Suwałki Region, Sopot Pier, the Old Town in Gdańsk and Warsaw, Biebrza Valley, Wigry National Park, Hel Peninsula, Pola Mokotowskie and Tatra Mountains, this three and a half minute film showers us with the many must-see places that exist throughout the country.
The team behind the film are setting off for a long term globe-trotting adventure, and as a parting tribute to their home country, they created this video so travelers from all over the world would consider paying Poland a well-deserved visit. “We’re planning to hit the road for quite a long time and do the round the world trip. But before leaving we felt like we need to make a tribute to our beloved homeland. This is it. A film showing the immense beauty of Poland.”
While watching, viewers feel as if they are flying over the charming brick towns adorned by watchtowers standing neatly along river banks and onto the tranquil lakes and port areas before finishing the tour in the endless fields and lakeside towns of Poland. After watching, I now know that Poland is a real haven for nature lovers.
Teeming with a rich history and colorful culture, the gregarious landscape of Poland along with its friendly citizens is definitely making a strong bid to be included on my travel bucket list. And it has achieved just that because I am now putting the country near the top of my must-visit places. Current Facebook status: “Fervently wishing to find myself on a plane to Poland in the near future”. What about you?
