#ResourceTravel Instagram Photos of the Week

As we approach 50,000 incredible Instagram photos using our hashtag #ResourceTravel, I must make an apology to our dedicated community. Some really cool jobs have been keeping me busy, which has caused me to wildly miss my New Year’s resolution of not missing a week of the #ResourceTravel Instagram Photos of the Week. I could (and should) ask some of our writing team to help with the selections, especially when I am traveling, but the truth is, I love curating this list so much I just couldn’t bring myself to ask for help. And when you take a look at this week’s photos, you will see why I continuously get a wave of inspiration from our awesome community. But I will do better, I promise. Sunrise in Fiordland. . The previous evening, the clouds were low, wind was blasting and visibility was null… So I melted some snow, took the warm bottle with me and went to bed early, expecting better conditions in the morning… The forecast did not disappoint me this time. Who wants to jump in? This 100% natural ocean pool is one of the many hidden gems along the CA coast that few get to experience. This couple braved the unpredictable waves which completely engulfed the pool at one point while they were still swimming in it. I took this photo last night on my way to the @LiveLagunaBeach party where I got to meet some great people and eat some yummy @jimboys_tacos_so_cal Thanks again! Technical details: DJI Phantom 3 Professional drone with @PolarPro ND32 filter for a 1/5 second exposure to capture the movement in the waves. I was standing at the edge of a cliff with the drone hovering below me over the water to get a better angle. I’m always a bit nervous flying below my takeoff point, especially when over water, but as usual the Phantom was rock solid. #lagunabeach #CrescentBay #ShawsCove #AsSeenInLaguna
