#ResourceTravel Instagram Photos of the Week

Today is both a day of happiness and sadness. On one hand, our Instagram feed is flooded with beautiful photos from our community who is out enjoying a three-day holiday weekend while on the other hand, we reported on the video that shows the intentional destruction of Duckbill Rock in Cape Kiwanda, Oregon.

So, as we do every week, we will bring you the incredible beauty of the world with this week’s #ResourceTravel Instagram Photos of the Week. But yesterday’s news is a sobering reminder that the beauty is disappearing at an alarming rate, and it’s mostly thanks to mankind. On my one full day in Zermatt I wanted to be super organized and make the most of my day, even to the extent of writing a hand written list of which lifts to take in which order to tick everything off my list! From the first train out of Zermatt to the very last cable car coming off the mountain I saw EVERYTHING! This amazing little view is in Schwarzsee which is a stop on your way to Glacier Paradise. After snapping half a dozen photos I literally ran up the hill to the lift and made it with 4 minutes to spare for last one off the mountain. I went up every lift, made multiple stops, did countless short hikes to nearby lakes and came down to town completely spent! @MySwitzerland #inLOVEwithSWITZERLAND

The Hamadryas baboons (Papio hamadryas), from the Old World monkey family, roams the semi-deserts of the Horn of Africa and the Arabian peninsula. These regions provide habitats with the advantage for this species of fewer natural predators than more central or southern Africa. There society is very remarkable: it is highly organised into groups with a male leader who herds up to 10 females and their young. Different one male groups forms a clan together, multiple clans form a band, and a aggregation of bands forms a troop. I'm a chaser of light and dreams. I often don't know where I'm going to find either. And sometimes I'm lucky enough to find them together. To see them so perfectly and powerfully come to life in another culture is an experience that I'm blessed to have. This was captured at the base of the largest mosque in Africa, the Hassan 2 Mosque in Casablanca. The base is all marble and when the sun set on it, it created an atmosphere like I've never seen before. I sat on the marble and waited for 15 minutes to get the perfect people shot in this amazing setting. photography – @jeskridge
