Twas the night before Christmas, and I cannot get mulled wine and winter landscapes off of my mind. I just spent 23 days road tripping through the winter wonderland of Idaho (check out the photos on my Instagram), and for most of the trip, I was constantly in the middle of some form of snowfall, from soft and slow fluffy flakes to hard, pounding blizzards that made your face burn. But, through it all, the snow packed mountains and fields made for one of the most amazing photography experiences of my life. Living on the California coast, I usually only find myself in snow on quick weekend getaways to Lake Tahoe, so three weeks of blizzards made me a very excited photographer. Even though it is only Christmas, I found myself already dreading the thought of the warmer spring tempurtures, taking the snow pack lower as the thermometer goes higher.
So with some time to kill today, I put together a collection of 30 incredible winter scenes that will keep me in the Christmas Spirit long after the new year. I hope you can appreciate a beautiful winter landscape as much as I do.
Happy Holidays from all of us here at Resource Travel and Resource Magazine!
