Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that Las Vegas makes an impact. The casino capital of the world is a by-word for bachelor parties, unforgettable nights that you’ll never remember and, if in doubt, putting it all on black. The flashing, fluorescent lights of the city illuminate the desert, performing as a year-round light show that celebrates the city’s unmistakable spirit – or brand.
Filmmaker Dustin Farrell captures the spectacle of Las Vegas, displayed at high speeds, in this 4k Timelapse. Citing it as one of the most challenging films he has ever made, this timelapse took two years of planning, some lateral thinking and lots of patience. As they weren’t shooting a feature film, the team had no co-operation from any of the hotels they approached, so had to think creatively about how best to capture a city which thrives on tourism and hotel-based entertainment. It might not have been easy, but the results speak for themselves.
