Amazing travel photos are to the lover of travel what nicotine patches are to the smoker. It gives you a little shot of relief—staring across a vista or down a street you wish you were standing in the middle of—but it’s nothing like the real thing.
It’s been a long time since my feet have touched truly unfamiliar ground, and as the next trip looms on the horizon, the nicotine patches are all I’ve got to hold me over.
So between now and mid-March when I board a plane to Dubai, I’ll take what I can get… and when what I can get comes from the world-class photographers who call 500px home, I know I’m in good hands.
