In perhaps the most insane film ever made, two men with bigger cojones than any of us have strapped on jetpacks and flown within feet of an Emirates Airbus A380 as it flies at low altitude over Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

These fearless stuntman, who double as the most bad-ass dudes in the world, are Yves Rossy and Vince Reffet. Previously, they have made us grip the arms of our office chairs in suspense as they flew side by side with a B17 bomber and navigated the Grand Canyon. But that was all child’s play compared to this high-end production for Emirates Airline.

Flying at just 4,000 feet above the gleaming metropolis of Dubai, Rossy and Reffet had no room for error. The Jetman explain that extensive planning and safety measures were put in place, even though the film makes the feat seem easy.

On their website, the pair explains:

While the formation flight looked effortless on film, painstaking planning and meticulous collaboration with an intense focus on safety drove all efforts.

The massive amount of preplanning that went into the stunt is shown in an equally impressive behind the scenes video on our sister channel, Resource Motion.

While we still have almost two months left in 2015, I think many of us are ready to crown this the coveted “Most insane video of the year” award.

Belgium Filmmaker Matthew Vandeputte recently traveled to Dubai as part of a team of photographers and filmmakers who  explored the metropolis and it’s surrounding desert. The artist’s, all from Australia and New Zealand, were invited to explore the region by the Dubai Tourism Board as part of their ever expanding #MyDubai Instagram campaign, which aims to raise awareness of the rich culture of the city while dispelling myths about Dubai.

While the trip focused primarily on still images,Vandeputte, concentrated on video content, posting daily behind the scenes “Vlogs” on his YouTube channel, all while capturing 8K timelapse footage from each location that the team visited. The resulting film shows the diversity that travelers can experience if they venture outside of the bustling city.

Vandeputte captured a staggering amount of content, recording 28,233 RAW files from his Canon 5DsR and two Canon 5d Mark III cameras, resulting in 56 time-lapse clips. All in all his content used 1,160 Gigabytes of storage.

The #MyDubai campaign continues to show us a beautiful and enchanting side of this desert region, and it’s no wonder the region experiences 9% annual growth, with an ambitious goal of reaching 20 million visitors in 2020. Thanks to films like this, that goal seems easily achievable.

Australian chef turned full-time Instagrammer Lauren Bath is one of the social media community’s most followed travel photographers, and for good reason. Her consistent stream updates take her followers with her as she travels the globe, experiencing the best of what each location she visits has to offer.

A location Bath seems to never get enough of is Dubai, and this week, Bath is back in the United Arab Emirates’ most populated city. But for this trip, Bath brought along a team of 9 Instagrammers, filmmakers and Snapchatters to work with the Dubai Tourism Board. The main purpose of the trip is to raise awareness of the rich culture of the city while dispelling myths about Dubai.

Besides Instagram, the team is also very active on Facebook, SnapChat, and YouTube. But at its core, the campaign is focused at showing the beauty of Dubai on Instagram, and the content has been frequent, beautiful and inspiring. Follow along on Instagram this week using the hashtag #MyDubai as the team shoots foggy sunrises from the Burh Khalifa to exploring massive sand dunes in the deserts outside of the city center.

In addition to his awesome (yet too short) timelapse clips on Instagram, filmmaker Matthew Vandeputte has been creating daily behind the scenes vlogs on his YouTube channel.

The campaign is a great example of how tourism boards around the world are beginning to realize the power of social media to help tell the stories that travelers experience while in their locations, and the stories coming out of Dubai are incredible.

The fountain at the @burjkhalifa gives you a spectacular show every 30 minutes from 6 till 11pm. I get goosebumps thinking about this morning. I have been dreaming about shooting the famous Dubai fog from the top of this building since 2010. This is probably my favorite shot from the Burj Khalifa, I saw a few people including the marina in their shots from last year and was bummed I was on the other side.
